Community Events and Projects
This interdisciplinary research event brings together users and professionals from the fields of Prosthetics, Orthotics, 3D Printing and Design to work in collaboration on translating ideas into novel 3D printed prototypes. The event is supporting Sociological research into how new technologies can and will impact the P&O profession.
***This study has been enhanced to include below knee amputees as well now***
Senior Undergraduate Student in the Department of Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology, at Simon Fraser University seeking participants in an honour’s research study.
Why: Evaluate the effectiveness of a rehabilitation programme in addressing an individual’s confidence towards walking tasks encountered in the community.
Time involvement: one-time 1.5 hour session at Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC.
Compensation: $30.00 for your time and cooperation.
